About the Book

PATRIOTS CAUSE: The Messengers is a journey of discovery, intrigue, and the mettle it took to be a part of a cause greater than ones self and helped define us as a people and nation.

PATRIOTS CAUSE is a novel about ideals, romance, and history.  It is an American drama set during the rebellious epoch of the Revolutionary War.  This book is different from other stories about the Revolution.  It concentrates on the ingenuity and resolve of the 18th Century women, the southern partisans, the commanding leaders, and the Southern Campaigns that were the turning points of America’s struggle for freedom and independence.

PATRIOTS CAUSE is about two people – Continental officer, Alexander Greyson and Patriot rebel, Emma Geiger, who share a dream, are drawn together, unite for a cause, and are willing to risk everything in their pursuit of liberty.  The reader will be able to identify with Alex and Emma on an emotional level while experiencing political and social issues of the 18th century, which have meaning today.

PATRIOTS CAUSE is more than just a story of a rebellion.  It is about people with a deep commitment, of diverse participation, of passionate relationships, who have the fervent belief in the God-given right of free will and a person’s right to choose.  It is about the exciting places, the turbulent times, and the triumphant events that were the American Revolution.

PATRIOTS CAUSE is our unique American story.  It is about value(s) and character.  It is about our past, and what was and is our destiny.

About the Author

Kathleen A. Goodrich has lived and traveled all over the world.  It was through these adventures that she found the need to share the unique history of this country in a way that is entertaining and informative – through historical fiction writing.

She changed careers to pursue her desire to enlighten people about the extraordinary events and untold stories of the men and women that define us as a people and nation.  She is an active member of the American Revolutionary Round Table of Philadelphia.

When not writing or researching history, she continues to travel with her twin sister Michele, who graciously stops at all historical (hysterical) markers in the quest for historical preservation, while enjoying life and the land of opportunity.
