About the Book

Can an image of an angel in a mirror be a sign that God chose me to have cancer for a reason?

A Mirrored Image is a courageous story about a thirty-nine year old woman who was preparing for her seventeenth year of teaching when suddenly she was facing the biggest challenge of her life.

From diagnosis to recovery and knowledge of finding myself, this book is a look at a candid account of a battle with a devastating illness of rectal cancer and a sense of the person I became.  It celebrates life and the triumph of a determined, courageous, and spiritual woman.

As the mental healing was beginning so did the chemotherapy.  With faith and positive thinking, I tell about my struggle and outline the processes I used to deal with surgery and treatments.  I used many facets other than medical to survive and begin my celebration of life.

My hope is for all newly diagnosed cancer patients to find the faith, strength, courage, and hope to fight cancer with a positive attitude and win.  I also hope that people still battling cancer finds the inspiration and guidance to enrich their outlook of this disease and their life.
