About the Book
Let Go and Let God: Surviving Teenage Drug Abuse; A Mother’s Journal is a journey that a mother took with her son and survived! You’ll see countless attempts that were tried and failed at trying to ‘save’ a child from drug addiction. No parent is fully equipped with how to handle teenage drug abuse. I know I wasn’t. Not until I turned it over to God. That is when the help and the answers came.
“Know where your child is. Know who their friends are”, you’ve heard and seen that on television. I am here to tell you to know your family members. You never know where the drugs are being introduced to your child, or by whom.
"Your life will never be the same after reading Trisha's journey with her son. Combing her walk with God and her leadership skills with her poetry, letter writing and emotional word pictures, she reveals her story in a heart-touching way that will leave you knowing that someone understands and there is hope. If you have ever felt foolish, a failure as a person or parent, unloved? This book is for you!" Gatha Crowson, International Speaker, Author, Corporate Consultant, BusinessWoman, Athens, Alabama
About the Author
Trisha Leone of Mississippi, a mother of two, began writing twenty-nine years ago after the death of her oldest brother. She wrote a poem dedicated to him, To Tom With Love, which was published in April 2001 in Stepping Stones.
With the birth of each child, Trisha kept one-year diaries on each. So, writing has been a natural habit.
Let Go and Let God: Surviving Teenage Drug Abuse; A Mother’s Journal began as a dairy while trying to cope with an unknown world-teenage drug abuse. Trisha realized that her many attempts to ‘save’ her child, her mistakes, her achievements and her bizarre story, just might be able to help another parent make it through this tough time in life.
