to visit Nigeria as well as Nigerians who don’t live the country and plan to
visit their loved ones after years of sojourn abroad.
The book highlights how travelers can move about
safely in Nigeria and survive perils that lurk around our ever-changing world.
It delves into issues on the people, security,
hotels, custom, laws, scams (otherwise known as 419) banks, embassies and
government institutions.
About the Author
Chief Patrick Keku is the publisher of Security and
Safety Magazine. He is also the
Director of Operations/CEO of Pahek Security Services Limited based in Lagos.
A retired Naval Officer, Keku had gone through
several securities training in Nigeria and overseas.
During service years, he engaged in Airport
Expedited Functions and as such he is very versatile in travel and tourist
requirements of this day.
He is a graduate of International Institute of
Security, London and American Detective Training School, Washington D. C,
USA. He was also in India and South
Africa for security training programs
A member of American Society for Industrial
Security, Keku is a Trustee and Founder, Nigeria Professional Security
Association. He is also patron of
Nigeria Union of Journalists, Bayelsa State.
Tunde Akingbade
Tunde Akingbade is a journalist, environmentalist
and playwright. He attended University
of Ife, Ile-Ife, Nigeria Institute of Journalism, Lagos, International,
Institute of journalism, Berlin, Germany and University of Calabar, Calabar for
his postgraduate degree.
A recipient of Nigeria Media Merit Award and Winner
Journalist of the Year 1992, Akingbade participated in the “Young African
Leaders” Program of the USIA in 1993 to study environmental protection efforts
across the United States.
He has traveled widely in Nigeria, USA, Germany, the
Netherlands, and India.
He is the author of Nigeria: On the trail of
the Environment, The Famished King and the Mystery Head.
His works have been presented at Free University,
Berlin, European Union of Science Journalists function in Budapest, Hungary,
British Council, Friedrich Ebert Foundation and British Voluntary Service
Overseas.
He has attended Climate Change Conferences in
Germany, the Netherlands and India. He
received the Artist’s Angel Award of the Vermont Studio Center, USA in 2001
which enabled him to write the mystery book; The Wizards Who Flew Into
America.
