Prayer to Be Conrolled by
The Holy Spirit
Key Scripture: "If ye then, being evil, know how to
give good gifts unto your children: how
much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?" (Luke 11:13)
Prayer:
Precious Father, I thank you for the Holy Spirit that you sent to be our
comforter. Please help me to walk in
the spirit, and not fulfill the lust of the flesh. We can't go wrong if we follow the Spirit, because he is
omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent.
I am grateful that you've sent the Holy Spirit to be
a teacher, and a guide. Please stay
close by my side. Thank you for this wonderful gift. Your gracious servant. Amen.

Hannah's Prayer Answered
"For this child I
prayed; and the Lord hath given me my petition which I asked of him: (1 Samuel 1:27)
Hannah's husband Elkanah truly loved her. The Lord shut Hannah's womb, this made
Hannah weep, and refuse to eat. Her
husband was very sympathetic towards her, and desired her happiness.
Hannah vowed a vow found in 1 Samuel 1:11 "And
she vowed a vow, and said, O Lord of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the
affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid,
but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the
Lord all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his
head." Every woman should give her
children back to God, they belong to him anyway.
God blessed Hannah, by answering her prayer
concerning her desire for a Son. Elkanah's other wife provoked Hannah
concerning her barreness, but Hannah took the situation to the Lord in fervent
prayer.
Eli thought Hannah was drunk, because he saw her
lips moving, but he heard no voice. This shows that we can pour out our heart
before the Lord at any time. No one has
to know you are communing with the Lord, the main person that needs to hear is
the Lord.
The story of Hannah is a great encouragement for a
woman desiring a child. If God can give
Hannah a child he can also do ti for anyone else. Of course it is not always
God's will for every women, but adoption is always an option. There are many
children looking for parents to love and nuture them.
