About the Author
The Author was born in 1959 of Dutch and Indian
parents on a then British Island called Trinidad. Being born into a family of 10 children with a father only making
$25.00 a month and a mother staying home and working 18 hours a day to care for
her children; there was an abounding poverty that limited their food supply and
their necessities of life. Nonetheless,
there was plenty of love and nurturing by his parents to keep everyone in good
health and a blissful state of happiness.
The family later moved to the United States of
America where the Author attended junior high, high school and college. In the course of his life, Mr. Sun has
served in the U. S. Navy as a Personnelman and the Army National Guard as a
Combat Engineering Officer.
Adam has lived through caring for a first wife who
had cancer. He had to fight to survive
a serious auto accident where he became paralyzed from the neck down and had to
be refrigerated in an air-conditioned suit to keep him functionally alive. He also had seizures resulting from the auto
accident.
While paralyzed, Adam realizing that his condition
would most likely be permanent, told his two young children, “Since Daddy
cannot take you on vacations anymore, I am going to take your imaginations on a
vacation.” With that said, and his two
young children at his bed side, the Author began creating and telling his
children the fable of “The Mountain Man.”
For the most part, the Authors health has recovered and he has chosen to
be a writer and write the story he has been telling his family for many years.
