About the Book

Making Love Safe is a well-written, highly readable book that can provide insight and understanding to anyone who has an interest in couples and their relationships. The authors explore and very clearly explain the complex variables that contribute to relationship formation, functioning, conflict and conflict resolution.  They focus on ways healthy relationships can be created and maintained.  They consider the fact that the differences that attract persons to each other can create difficulties as well as opportunities.  They do an excellent job in describing how past histories affect the ways couples perceive each other.  There is a wealth of material here.  This is a book that should appeal to professional counselors and therapists in addition to the laypersons for whom it was designed.”

“Making Love Safe spells out exactly what attracts people to one another and what people might expect or hope for, that could encourage them to stay with and work on their relationship.  Making Love Safe strips away all of the complicated rhetoric and fear that surrounds the topic of a relationship and goes directly to the essence of the interaction between two people. It is highly readable and interactive in its approach.  Anyone who wants to learn more about themselves and what to look for in a relationship can benefit from Making Love Safe.
