About the Book

Armies fight great battles, but individuals fight the greatest and most difficult campaigns within their own minds.  These struggles do not involve the loss of men, equipment, or land; rather they revolve around the loss or attainment of character, integrity, and inner peace.
From the Manual of Discipline found in the library of Vindry--author unknown

Enter the world of The Brazen Serpent Chronicles, and discover a delightful journey into the lives of Widseth, Vera, and Fyan.

Widseth must discover keys to unleash powers of light to rescue his mother from a terrifying descent into the darkness on nonentity.

Vera is a young dragon of light called to the world before fully trained.  She struggles to fulfill her potential before she can be overwhelmed by the controlling darkness of the ancient Dragon Master.

Fyan seeks to master courage to lead his people against the horror of a resurrected evil that can control dragons of darkness.

Join adventure in a fascinating world filled with history and cultures.  Delve into characters driven by pain, sorrow, love, and hope.

Light reveals the evil hidden by darkness, and darkness manipulates light to deceive individuals if they stray from their principles.  Where will you stand?

About the Author

R. Dennis Baird grew up as a military brat.  He lived in Georgia, Alabama, Texas, Germany, Washington DC, Ohio, Utah, Washington state, and Oregon.

As a youngster in Europe nothing delighted him more than crawling around ruins of castles on the Rhine River or exploring Roman ruins in Germany, Italy, and Spain.  Fondness for ancient societies gave rise to his love of language and culture.  He has studied Spanish, German, and Russian along with English literature.  He has enjoyed time in Mayan ruins in Yucatan, and studied ancient civilizations and the lessons they have taught us.

He spent years spinning yarns around campfires with the Boy Scouts, and has combined his storytelling with a multilayered world reflective of great civilizations.
