Laws have developed because people and society wanted standards set in particular with the wrong doings of “Tort Feasors” who cause injuries and property damages.  It is inevitable that the Tort Laws, which are innumerable, co-exists with Insurance Policies Provisions and Coverage, and to provide recovery for acts of others, or the acts of the party you insure.

Further, insurance policies provide recovery or remedy for “Acts of God” to protect Real Property or Personal Property from catastrophic phenomena’s (i.e. lightning, tornado, hail, flood or hurricanes).

The “Force Majeure” and Purpose of this Manual is to enlighten your senses, excite your imagination, and to emphasize the importance of the position you will be entrusted with Investigating and Negotiating Insurance Claims.  This will encompass your integrity, insight, tact, and the ingenuity you possess, along with strong common sense.  It will entail long hours (but enjoyable) researching for all evidences, preparing documents to support your theory of either Liability or Negligence of which-ever party, and the negotiating with a Claimant (always the other party) or the Assured (the party you will represent.)  Finally negotiating with their respective Attorneys, and preparing defenses for court.

Insurance Adjusting gets into your blood, and the work can be extremely fascinating as each and every claim is different.  Some claims can be resolved within a few days, while others (especially ones that go into suit) take months or even years.  Your integrity should be impeccable since you will endeavor to settle all claims in an amiable and fair manner.
