“The Last Call to Prayer” by Charissa Sapp was written to shed light on a subject that

About the Author
Charissa’s
parents divorced before she reached adolescence. She grew up in a step family where there were
14 children besides herself. Although there were many children, she grew
up feeling very lonely and emotionally detached. As she came into adulthood, depression
cloaked her and she could not shake it.
As her life spiraled hopelessly out of control she began to write notes
to her children telling them that she loved them and why she had taken her own
life.
But, one day, she found hope, a
way out. Was it some new health food,
meditation, medication, self-motivation, examination, realization? None of the above.
Charissa
gave her life to Jesus Christ. God
raised her up out of sickness, severe depression and an abusive background to
testify of what God has done in her life.
