About the Book

JOSEPH COLAIN is an entrepreneur, neighbor, husband and father.  His friends admire him, his wife adores him and his children respect him.  Joseph Colain is a man with secrets.  When an automobile accident leaves him in a near-death coma, from which no one expects him to recover, those secrets begin to surface.  The Colain family will never look at Joseph the same way again.

CORRINA PRESTON is a businesswoman, wife, mother.  Shy and sensitive, no one knows the pain she holds deep within her heart.  Eleven days after she buried her husband of 39 years, a call from Joseph Colain, Jr. leaves Corrina teetering on the verge of insanity.

About the Author

Ada Byrge was born on Red Oak Mountain in eastern Tennessee.  She was number ten of fourteen children born to a hard working farming family.  It was a very strict and religious family, with Bible study being the biggest part of each Sunday.

Ada completed the third grade in school.  She married twice, and gave birth to four children.  She raised her children within twenty-five miles of Red Oak Mountain.  She was a loving mother telling her children, “Do as I say, not as I do.”

Today, Ada Byrge lives in the heart of her first born near Seattle, Washington, far away from Red Oak Mountain in Tennessee, and even farther away from the Brooklyn of the Colain boys.
