MY TWIN
BROTHER’S
To My Twin Brother’s,
Since I have grown up it
became profound,
that you two have carried so many people who lived
In and out of town.
As you kept people warm
& cool
from the cold & scorching heat,
you both had become so very popular
a sight for the eyes to see.
You both were so admired, It
became as no surprise.
that many people congregated on both your
shoulders to see the city from up high.
Because of popularity and
the symbolization
of power, evil people attacked you both
causing your physical aspect to be devoured.
Although you both have
fallen It does not
mean defeated, you have both taken with you over
two thousand heart and souls you carried inside
whose names are still repeated.
Those responsible will pay
for their ways,
which indeed was truly rotten. America
has placed two spotlights where you both had
stood so you all would not be forgotten.
FLOATING
My head is already in the
clouds because of your appearance and scent of your lotion.
The longer I admire you I
swear I’ll be floating.
No games here! My feelings
are up front. I mean it’s like
being on a plane with you that’s loaded for one, with a parachute on my back
I’m willing to take the plunge.
Your personality is rare and
plays the strings to my
heart, hypnotic spells from you always seem to be a
big part,
Of why I stare and glaze at
your every move, not allowing you to escape from the eyes that have you glued.
You’re a prisoner in the
mind, heart, and soul of an
Individual who believes you can do no
wrong.
“Not quoting” all original,
stop me from floating, by reeling me in off of those high clouds, giving me the
chance to make you happy.
Like X-ray machines and
infra-red I can see
through you, targeting your heart. Seeing that you
are more anxious than I to make a relationship
start.
look at you glowing, like
the Lord would be if all of his children obeyed is every command, yes it’s
showing, but
who am I to talk. I’m still here floating.

About the Book
SYNOPSIS
My inspiration for writing these poems came from
life and emotional experiences. By writing and publishing these poems gave me
the concept that people would see their inner self, by actually taking the time
to understand these poems fully. Because we are human, our experiences and
emotions are relatively the same, but expressed differently.
My Saying Is.
“ It is easy to feel, But hard to express”
This is my theory, due to the simple fact we can
become overwhelmed by life itself, when our feelings get involved. But when it
comes to expressing ourselves, some of us have a very difficult time doing so,
which in turn is kept bottled up inside causing us to unintentionally explode at
some point.
Chapter One Of this book is based on the spiritual
aspect of life, detailing the significance of how we want to do the right
thing, but are driven back by worldly temptations.
Chapter Two involves actual life experiences that we
all face one time or another such as abuse, deceitful friends and family, work,
and the unfortunate attack of the World Trade Centers.
Chapter Three entails the love portion of our lives,
that makes us feel appreciated by the people who love us.
Chapter Four the final chapter gives us the insight
on what our relationships look like from the outside looking in, and hopefully
give us the answer to try and correct the problems that may be tearing our
relationships apart.
About the Author
I Kevin Foster 33 was born in Philadelphia Pa. grew
up in North and West Philadelphia. I
attended William Dick and Stanton Elementary schools. Upon completion attended Gratz and Olney High schools, graduating
from Olney High in 1987. In the year of
1988 Enlisted into the United States Navy, serving in Desert Shield and Desert
Storm. After my tour overseas resided
in Virginia Beach, Va., until my transfer to Colts Neck, New Jersey in 1992.
After being honorably discharged from the United
States Navy in 1996, moved back to Philadelphia where I joined the Philadelphia
Police Department and Naval Reserves making both adventures a promising
career. My hobbies are writing Poetry,
listening to Jazz, Rap, and occasionally weight lifting.
