About the Book
‘Sarah’s Family’ is a tender and captivating
love story that takes place in the latter part of the nineteenth century. Sarah Aimie Corbeil is a young woman who is
searching for a ‘perfect and blessed life’.
When she marries her girlhood sweetheart her life seems to be blessed
and headed for the perfection she prays for.
Sarah wants to love and be loved and to endure throughout time. When her ‘perfect and blessed life’ is
shattered and she is confronted by the realities of life, these realities
collide with her dreams and desires and she must find a way to survive. Sarah
travels from her childhood home to a new city and a new life where she learns a
new meaning to the word ‘family’.
Journey with this fragile and innocent young woman as she searches for
an understanding of her very existence.
About the Author
Christine Kirby’s first novel is a tender love story
that takes place in and around Albany, New York and is set in the latter part
of the nineteenth century. Christine
and her husband live in Henderson, Nevada, where she is currently working on
her second novel. She is originally
from western Massachusetts where she got the inspiration for “Sarah’s Family”.
Her love of people and the history and events of the late nineteenth century
also inspired her. Christine has also written six children’s books, for her
grandchildren and for the grandchildren of friends. She says that her goal is “to use words to entertain and
transport readers to a place and time they have no other way to experience.”
