I lost track of the fight as Falcon turned a few
corners and headed for the rendezvous. We slid from the saddle as Roach and
Dimples reined in. I felt as if my knees would buckle, and my bladder seemed
overly full all of a sudden. Falcon slapped both lathered mounts with the flat
of his blade, sending them galloping down the streets.
Roach had already disappeared down a manhole, and
Dimples was soon following. Falcon and I followed the Corilium into the sewers,
crashing heavily as fatigue and shock of the battle set in.
“What about the others?” I asked. I'm sure my voice
was shaky.
“They’!! be along,” Falcon responded. His tone spoke
volumes and his eyes were like ice. I could almost feel the waves of anger
spilling from the huge Khorinin.
“What the frag was that back there?” exclaimed
Roach. “There’s never been that many Magistrates on guard assignment before.”
“And Hellfire was there,” added Dimples. “Somebody
set us up. They knew we were coming, Falcon.”
“Enough,” Falcon hissed. “Grisham will give us
answers. In blood, if need be.”

Follow Bulldog's adventures as he and his motley crew battle as those that would be gods roll the dice in the eternal struggle. Will Darkness engulf Kronus or will the Children of the Winter cast off their cloaks and walk into the spring time?
About the Author
Thomas Tipton was born in 1975 and lives in Denison
TX with his wife, daughter, and two pint size terrors. He teaches high school art and watches entirely
too many Kung Fu movies. Enjoys long
walks on the beach. Pet peeves include
people who are mean to their dogs and Drivers who stay in the fast lane when
they are driving slow. Children of the
Winter is the first in a series of nine currently in production.
