EYE
In the world today there are many things, which seems
appealing to the eye. The eye being the
object used to bring into focus, or visualize what we think is appetizing for
the soul. Oftentimes, we as women find
ourselves settling for what is not inviting for women whose eyes are open and
steps are ordered! As I begin to think
about life’s journey attached with trial and error, I have seen women who for
the sake of acceptance welcome all types of abuse and misuse by men. Most of the time the
desperate lady is unaware of her vulnerable state for she has been blinded by
the custom of a false sense of truth.
And the undermining knowledge of the way a woman should be treated.
There is an eye that is keener than the natural eye. Its target is more direct. Ecclesiastes 2:14 states “ the
wise men’s eyes are in his head; but the fool walketh
in darkness and I myself perceive also that one even happened to them
all.” It is important that we as women
have wisdom and understanding. For if we
have knowledge and do not apply it to our decisions in life; it becomes
useless.
Oftentimes the natural eye can focus in on what your flesh
is telling you. The most common factor
for settling is the fear of being alone.
However, you will only understand this statue by wisdom in the Word of
God. Fear is a common denominator for
bondage in the lives of many women. When
you fear, you begin to think of ways to overcome the feeling and many times we
open the door to become trapped. As soon
as you allow, fear to be planted, you encave
yourself. Then the devil begins to
entertain your mind with thoughts and ideas that go against the moral standards
of God.
Fear does not only enter through watching something, but
from things we hear. The ear is used as
a device for receiving. After we hear
evil, we obtain a mental image of what was heard. Since the beginning of time, the eye has been
used as an inviting tool. When God first
saw light “It
was good.” Genesis 1:4
So there is something enlightening to the eye when it sees an
object. After the eye interprets its
object, it tells about what is seen and how the eye views its picture.
Even when Eve was in the garden, she became ensnared with
the fact that the tree was good for food and that it was pleasant to the eyes,
and a tree to be desired to make one wise. Genesis 3:6 And Satan gave Eve the mental image through
the words he spoke to her and Eve being intrigued with the conversation became
trapped.
And that’s how it is with us, Satan will paint the picture
of delight by sending a man with words that ensnare, words of captivation, and
a sight of radiant apparel with dialect as if a prophet and wisdom as of a
scholar. However, this is when wisdom,
which are Words of God, must not only be heard but
also applied. For we have another
intricate instrument used in achieving tasks, which is the ear. The ear being a delicate connection to
verbally spoken words is the central station to the interpretation base. We must be more aware of the input data so
that our output may be in line.
Many times the motives or reasoning behind words are not
evident. When your mind is programmed
with limited information, your perception of what you have heard may not be
reality. A man whose motives are only
toward what he can receive will base his plot with that in mind. In addition, we as women must not be so
hungry to attach ourselves to a man that we just accept anyone that comes our
way. You have a right to be careful of
the person your involving in your life.
Coincidently, many of us have children so the stakes are truly
high. Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all
these things shall be added unto you.”
Matthew 6:33
What things you may ask?
what you will wear, what you will eat, or what
you will drink; for your heavenly Father knoweth that
you have need of all these things.
Oftentimes, women use these things to trap themselves and when it is not
present we seek our own way of thinking and use our natural eye to see the
situation and we determine how to bring ourselves out of the need. This is where the entanglement of sweet
Johnny begins. He is buying food, an
outfit or two and juice when you are thirsty; setting you up for the web of the
cycle of need. Afterwhile,
the dependency leads to expectancy.
Anxiety causes women to figure a way out when the Bible tells us. “Be careful for nothing but in everything by
prayer and supplication with thanksgivi
