Brother 2 Brother, is a life skill activity workbook
for students in grades 6 through 8 that promotes positive male adolescent
development.
The book provides guidance and activities for young
men that teach the following:
- How to improve self-esteem and set goals?
- Avoidance skills for peer pressure.
- Controlling anger and techniques to resist gangs.
- Provide insight on identifying friends that are depressed or
suicidal.
- Learn the dangers of drugs.
- Teach the roles of women and men as parents.
- Affords opportunities to give back to the community.
About the Author
Kenneth Coleman, Jr. is a Licensed Practical
Counselor, and National Certified Counselor in Detroit, Michigan. He earned his
bachelor's degree from Eastern Michigan University in Public Administration,
and received a master’s degree from Wayne State University in Guidance and
Counseling. He has worked in the mental health profession for 13 years and for
8 years exclusively with youth. He currently operates an educational consultant
business, Interactive Educational Solutions, LLC, where he provides training
and leadership to educators on how to motivate and prepare adolescents.
