The Logical and Illogical

To help scrutinize all things that can be learned, consider defining logic and illogic. Delving into the definitions, I take the following sentence to be an accurate representation of the illogical. "I think it's neat how a puzzle still is one even after all the pieces have been put together." That sentence is a combination of (and illustrates the) three characteristics of all things illogical 1:

• The smaller picture doesn't fit into the bigger picture
• A proof of identity is demanded
• Involves an unresolved simplicity vs complexity debate (i.e. an obscure application)

Therefore, the sentence in question is its own conundrum (i.e. illogical).

To contrast, let's move onto a phrase representing logic. "There is no such thing as half of a mountain." Logic is something that makes sense on it's own, which requires the following characteristics:

• It is a part of the bigger picture
• It can be applied to anything (i.e. it's seemingly adaptable/flexible)
• It is distinct

Irregardless, logic is not self-truth as it is correct to say that logic is it's own excuse. In other words, with logic you can find a reason for anything. This is the same as saying that signs lead everywhere, so they're pointless if you don't have a point of origin and destination. You are always somewhere, even emotionally, so you always have a place to start from. What about a destination? It is here one needs to recognize the personal journey that success is. Therefore, logic and illogic involve a choice of interpretation concerning something surrounded in doubt in your mind (i.e. something that you do not understand/recognize the nature of).
