About the Book
In the spring of 1992, Tom Martin was a prominent beach artist on the coast of Texas. Riding high on the ego trip of fame, Tom's world came crashing down in the aftermath of a scandalous affair and a terrible divorce.
Based on the real life experiences of the author, "Exiting Bohemia" is one man's struggle to come to grips with his life and his loss. Cast against the exotic background of a tropical paradise, this story weaves an emotional and erotic tale of a life going down in flames like a falling star, then rising again, as a Phoenix rises from the ashes.
"Exiting Bohemia" is an intense portrayal of divorce from a man's/father's point of view and takes the reader through the mourning and depression as well as the recovery and renewal. We see so many books on this subject as told from the female point of view, "Exiting Bohemia" is the flip side of that familiar story. It is the book that answers the questions so many divorced women have longed to ask.
About the Author
A writer of poetry and adult drama, Tomas Martin is able to take the reader through the entire range of human sensuality and emotion. A former beach artist and sculptor, he draws from his real life experiences to create authentic, if somewhat radical characters, and translates them to the reader as if they were seeing an old and familiar friend. With his ability to grasp the most primal, erotic and radical of human behavior, Tom has often been referred to as “Steinbeck for the X generation”.
