About the Book

Debi was turning two and had the perfect family. Daddy, mama, sister and brother. Little did she know that a tragedy was about to happen and she would be boarding an emotional roller coaster through childhood and adolescence.

The ride took her from the innocence of a child to being sexually molested, to a church going family, back to being molested, to being a little girl, and back to being molested. The ups and downs of this ride were very emotional. The things that she would do to survive this ride are unbelievable. As the monster that was steeling her innocence threatened her with everything that he could come up with, she had to find her own way of sanity. But the secret that she kept hurt her terribly. It also ended up destroying the innocence not only of her but also someone that she dearly loved.

In reading this book there times when you will laugh, there are times when you will cry and there are times when your heart will fill with the warmth of family. You will want to go and hug your own children and protect them. If you are a child you will want to go and hug your parents. Thank God for our children, please protect them.

About the Author

Debi was born in Jacksonville, Florida where she lived most of her life.

She met and married Steve about ten years ago. They now live in Mansfield, Ohio.

After an illness that disabled her to work she felt useless, almost like her life was over. She wanted to find something that she was able to do in spite of her disability. So she decided to write this memoir in hopes that by telling her story of sexual child abuse she would be able to help someone that has been in or is in a similar situation.

She is looking forward to Steve retiring and moving back to Jacksonville so that she may be able to spend more time with family and friends especially her daughters and three grandchildren.
