Heavenly Landscape
Today, I saw some clouds
Far off in the distance.
They looked just like mountains
Waiting to be climbed
On a rugged adventure.
A heavenly landscape
Is right before me.
The clouds are fluffy mountains
Covered by the blanket
Of an early snow.
A hint of regal purple
Hides within the clouds
On a Wednesday evening.

About the Author
Raul A. Jordan-Smith was born in the Panama Canal Zone. He later moved from the Republic of Panama to the United States with his family. He has been writing poetry since the age of eleven. Raul lives in Woodbridge, Virginia.
