About the Author
Born in 1964 and raised in the small rural town of
Brighton, Illinois. Powell has been
writing for the past nine years of his life.
In 1995, he coauthored the book “Classical Madness” a historical look
into the Illinois State Basketball Tournament.
Since 1995, he has concentrated on poetry, short story writing and
screen writing. Powell’s career has
been mired in the world of sports. He
served as the New York Yankees Strength and Conditioning Coordinator from 1989
to 1999. Since 1999, Powell has worked
in the Front Office and Scouting Department of the NBA New Jersey Nets. He has three children, Alayna (14), Derek
(11), and Autumn (6).
