STEVEN
CURTIS CHAPMAN
Pop singer/songwriter/musician born in 1962 from
Paducah, KY. In 1981 he began writing
in Nashville and worked as a singer at Opryland Theme Park. Chapman wrote songs for Glen Campbell,
Charlie Daniels and Sandi Patty. He won
CCM Magazine Readers Awards in eight
different categories since 1993 and won The Nashville Songwriters Association
International Award twice. He is the
most prolific GMA Dove Award winner. In
2000 he portrayed Joseph in the Christmas musical Child of the Promise. In 2001 Chapman and his wife Mary Beth were
given “Angels in Adoption” award by the Congressional Coalition on Adoption
Institute. Affiliated with Prison Fellowship, KNJ Foundation and World Vision.

About the Book
Hot Hits has taken information compiled by Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) Magazine since 1978 and translated it into a digestible format for fans and industry professionals. In these pages, every song that ever appeared on a CCM Adult Contemporary chart is represented, along with songwriter(s), label and artist information.
The Adult Contemporary charts have long covered the most radio stations in the Christian music industry. The charts themselves have gone through several changes over the years. For instance, when CCM first published its radio hits charts, AC was not even a recognized format. What is today considered Adult Contemporary was then covered under the title of Contemporary Hits.
This edition of Hot Hits covers only the Adult Contemporary (AC) Hits Radio charts for 1978-2001. Future volumes will cover Inspirational, Rock, Country, Albums and updates of previously published books.
