Back in the lab all of the employee's were busy preparing to bring a new member into their family. The super computer hummed along at a quickening pace as the life scanner underneath Dr. Bannings’ bed moved from his head to his feet, locking in every detail of his anatomy and every memory he had experienced in his life. When this was over, all of the data was checked and re-checked until the scientists were certain that there were no mistakes or glitches. Then came the most sinister part of the day. Dr. Bannings’ room was filled with a deadly gas that consisted of cyanide and chloroform. In seconds Dr. Banning fell into a slumber from which he would never awake again, at least not as he had been. His body was then removed and incinerated like the many scientists that came before him.

About the Book
The Clone was a work-in-progress in 2002. As this book was being written, many advances have occurred in the area of cloning. In the future humans will be cloned. Will they be treated as equals or just a creation of man? Will it be used to transfer a dieing spouse or child into a healthy body so that they can continue to live? Will it only be available to the Wealthy? No one will stop the future of cloning. It will become a part of our lives. Used for good or evil, only the future can say.
About the Author
Franz Kinkhorst was born in Moberly, Missouri and raised in Fairway Kansas. He spent thirteen years in the United States Navy as an Illustrator Draftsman. He has three wonderful children, Jessica, Kathryn and Franz II. He lives in Macon, Missouri. He is a songwriter, poet, pilot and avid photographer.
