Several years ago while I was in New York state, I
got word my husband was in a truck accident.
He was in Florida at that time.
I was unable to be with him due to the fact I had no way to get there
because of lack of money. My husband
hurt his neck and back. A few days
later my son called and said he had a bike accident. He broke his jaw and the tears just flowed.
After several months, I was able to fly down to be
with my husband. He was out of work for
several weeks. The doctor gave him the
ok to return to work. After several
months, he became worse. The doctor
said no work. June 3, 1997 was the last
day for him to work.
It was hard because he was hurting emotionally and
physically. There was very little to do
to help him. I could not even touch him
without him hurting. My heart was
breaking. It was then that God reminded
me that He had to be my everything. He
would fill the needs I had. I just
asked and he gave me the love, affection, and filled the loneliness. God did meet my needs. It hurts a lot to see him unable to do
anything. He suffers so much. Our heart's desire is our life will point
people to God and we can be an example of Him.
We cannot do anything without Him.
My heart is comforted through Him. He is my hope, joy, peace, and
happiness. God is my refuge.
You can live on the edge without going over it, if
God is your everything and He is your pilot. God will give you peace and
contentment in the midst of the storm.
My heart's desire through these writings is it will
encourage you so you can get through anything with God's help.

About the Author
God has blessed Donna Dean with the opportunity to
be a counselor for women, a Bible teacher, and a speaker of women’s
groups. She also has authored two other
writings, “A Merry Heart” and a
Calendar “God’s Rose Garden.”
Donna’s desire is to help people who are hurting and
give them hope through her experiences and use the written word.
Donna was born and raised in Candor, New York. Donna graduated from Practical Bible
Training School (now called Practical Bible College) where she met her husband
Larry, currently; Donna and Larry reside in Okeechobee, Florida. They have four children and eight
grandchildren.
