Al Jawarski had been a cadet when he attended Texas A&M in the mid 1940's and tradition says that once you’re a Corps Cadet you’re family, and family for life. To this day Al still elected to dress in every detail as if he was still attending the university. His khaki shirt and trousers were neatly starched and pressed in true military fashion. Matt couldn't see his face because it was hidden behind the afternoon newspaper that Al was holding as he leaned back in his chair. His bare feet were propped up on the left side of his desk, and his military issue, shiny black patent leather shoes proudly sat to the right of his nameplate. His white socks were hanging over his drafting light, where he was using a draftsman’s ink dryer to dry them off. It seems Al had gotten caught in a spring shower while on his afternoon stroll. Matt glanced at the clock; it was nearly three thirty, he had seen some strange things during his short career, but nothing quite like this. If reading the paper on government time wasn’t bad enough, it almost appeared that Al was over confident that nobody would reprimand him by being so visible.

This book is a humorous look at some of the outrageous events that are allow inside the Federal Government and the very serious results that can occur when small problems go uncorrected.
About the Author
Matt Allen’s youthful ambition of drawing became a reality when he became a draftsman in 1968. As the years past he also expand his interest in photography, writing, and the love of anything outdoors. With age and maturity, Matt decided that writing this book was a much better way of telling all of his stories and experiences, rather than continually boring his wife and two grandchildren with nothing but re-runs. They were never going to repeat them anyway. He resides outside of Fort Worth, Texas with his wife Judy and too many animals to mention.
