Acknowledge Satan
As, a Christian, (one who believes in Jesus Christ) I think that I can say that the statement I am about to make validates some truth. "I believe that many Christians would much rather stay focused on Jesus Christ, than to have any thought whatsoever about Satan." I can understand this. As a Christian I too, would rather not think about Satan either! But, I have to and so do you! We do not want to think about Satan because we know his mission is to destroy us!
We have heard of and we know about the evils of Satan, therefore many of us are afraid to think or to even speak his name. Well, here is a "Special Bulletin" report! Rather we like it or not, we have to acknowledge Satan. The reason that we must acknowledge him is because Jesus tells us in 1 Peter 5:8 that we must "Be Careful" and watch out for Satan because he is our greatest enemy!"
Here is some very good news for you. There is no need for anyone to fear Satan! Why? Just like you and I, he is Gods creation. Here is another reason; God did not create anything that is bad or evil. In fact in the Holy Bible in the Book of Genesis it is written that God saw all of His creations to be very "GOOD!"
Satan was not always a Devil. Satan was Our Fathers favorite angel! Yes, that is what I said. Satan was Gods most precious, beautiful and perfect angel. He was flawless and faultless from the day of his creation, until unrighteousness was found in him. (Ezekiel 28:15). His name was Lucifer. And God loved him!
But, Lucifer became jealous of God and wanted to be God! Lucifer was not satisfied any longer just being God’s favorite angel, he wanted to be above our Father God! He wanted the praise! Lucifer said to the heavens that he would go up, up above the stars of God and he would lift up Gods throne. Lucifer said that he would make himself resemble the Most High, God. (Isaiah 14:12-14) Lucifer waged war in heaven. Heaven being heaven, with nothing but the perfect love and peace of God, Lucifer was cast out. He is no longer an angel. He is the beast, the serpent! When Satan was thrown down to earth, he came down in great anger and knowing he has very little time here, Satan has declared war on all of Gods children! That means you as well as me!
Satan war on earth began with Gods creation of the first man, "Adam". Satan attacked Adam through the help made for him, the first woman "Eve". It is written in Genesis 3:1-4 that, "the serpent proved to be the most cautious of all the wild beasts of the field that God had made. And Satan began to say to the Eve; " is it really so that God said you must not eat from every tree of the garden?" And at this Eve said to the serpent (Satan): "Of the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat. But, as for eating of the fruit of the tree that is in the middle of the garden, God said, "We must not eat from it, nor touch it that we will not die." "At this the serpent (Satan) said to the woman (Eve): "You positively will not die!" Satan’s war on earth with man begins. Eve did not know that Satan was evil. Satan lied and Eve died!
I believe that out of all of Gods creations, Satan is the busiest of all! He does not get tired and he does not quit! Satan has been and he is still busy trying to take our souls. And check this out! There is no age discrimination! He steals children too! In Hebrews 2:14 it is written, "Therefore, since the "young children" are sharers of blood and flesh, he also similarly partook of the same things, that through His (Jesus) death He might bring to nothing the one having the means to cause death, that is, the Devil."
Satan is bold! He does not care who your mother or father is. Hey, Satan even tried to tempt the Son of God, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Remember, I said he "TRIED" to tempt Jesus!
It is written in the book of Matthew 4:5-10 that Jesus had been lead by the spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the Devil. Then, "the Devil took Jesus along into the Holy city, and he stationed Him upon the battlement of the temple and said to Jesus, "If you are the son of God, hurl yourself down; for it is written, He will give His angels a charge concerning you, and they will at no time strike our foot against a stone. Jesus said to Satan, "You must not put the Lord our God to the test!" Satan did not give up! He took Jesus along to an unusually high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory, trying to tempt Jesus saying to Him, "All these things I will give you if you fall down and do an act of worship to me!" Jesus told Satan to go away! "For it is written, it is God my Father whom you must worship and it is to Him alone you must render service!" Then the Devil left him!
Do you think Satan stopped there? Do you think that Satan has given up? Of course not, he is still busy as ever. He is attacking Gods children today, right now. Even as I write this book, he has attacked me many times! Oh and I am sure that there are more attacks to come. After all, Satan attacked Jesus with temptation every chance he thought that he could. And we know that Jesus was and still is perfect and we are not! So you know Satan is not about to give us a break. Okay!
Yes, Demons do exist and you are to be aware of them. Demons are to Satan what Angels are to God! Demons serve Satan by entering the bodies of God’s children and taking control of their minds, hoping to steal their souls! It is written in Luke 8:27-36 that Jesus cast out demons. It is written that, As Jesus got out onto land a certain man from the city who had demons met Him. Jesus asked him: "What is your name?" He said: "Legion" because many demons had entered into him. It is written that, "those who had seen it reported to them how the demon possessed man had been made well."
