We all have our experiences of being "wounded", whether our experience of being wounded was through some kind of abuse, addiction, being hurt by others, conquering some life-threatening disease or illness, experiencing a death, etc. Despite these experiences, there must be a way to stop the cycle of whatever is happening in your life. I stopped my cycle of things that happened in my life by giving my past hurts and pains to God. When I got down on my knees and prayed to God several years ago and revealed all the things that happened in my past, I asked Him to take them away that I may be able to serve Him. When I did this, God opened up so many doors in my life. When I prayed, I had such a revelation. Instead of staying "wounded", I thought of ways to try to change something that I found out about myself after these experiences. I learned that I am human capable of mistakes such as not speaking up when I should have in my life and trying to handle things on my terms instead of God's terms. It is important to know that you do not have to remain in a "wounded" state; you can make it through any obstacles that life brings you. For me, I had to learn to take certain people out of my life and love them with the love of God. I had to learn that God has to send people into my life who will be there through "thick and thin". I also learned that I do not have to be affirmed by people. Over the years, I have learned so much about my life and other things that happened. I now view some things that happened in my life as being so petty. What happened is not the ultimate lesson; it is how we change from the experience. I know God wanted me to forgive people for things that happened in the past so that I would be able to enjoy my life. God also wanted me to forgive certain people in my life and myself for retaliating in anger. As I said before, God is still making His way in my life. Of course, there will be other hurts and pains that may come into my life, but I feel better equipped to handle them. I have learned from my experiences. I am finally at peace. For me, the best gift God could ever give me was the gift to listen to others and bring a piece of happiness into their lives. It took me a long time to find my ministry. My life stories and sharing other peoples' stories are my ministry. It took me a long time to find my Christian ministry. Funny thing is--my ministry was always right there staring me in my face. God, I love you for your revelations in my life.

About the Book
This book was written to let people know that you can make it despite things that occur in your life. As the author of this book, I wanted to give my own personal testimony to let others know that you are not alone despite things that happen to deter you from your goals. My life has been shaped and formed through some tough experiences where I had to learn to persevere in spite of experiences that could have defeated me. I have been "lost" in my situations at one time, but it all changed as I began my journey to understanding. I have been in situations where I thought God had forgotten me but He was actually strengthening, molding, and shaping me for His own plan in my life. I have been through times where I thought I was so depressed that I could not make it, but God was there to pick me up. Through my journey, I have encountered angels on earth and miracles that never cease. Each time I was ready to give up; something else was given to me, whether it was a chance at success or a way to change another person's life. I still am not sure of what else God has in store for me, but as a believer in God, I can say, " For everything God gives me, I reach out to give it to someone else who may be suffering and going through pain." No, I cannot save the world but maybe I can try to make a difference in one person's life.
