Color Me Sensitive is the story of a woman's personal journey toward self-acceptance, peace, and faith. Full of the joy and pain that all women and mother's experience, the author describes how she learned not to be defined by her diagnosis and battle with sarcoidosis; instead, fueled by the disease, discovers her true essence through love, family and most importantly, a solid faith in God.

About the Author

June Saunders Grayson is a former community relations professional and successful fundraiser who has worked with large organizations and non-profits including The New York City Transit, The College Fund at Johnson C. Smith University, The Afro-American Cultural Center, and Thompson’s Children Home. She has designed and implemented various community outreach programs, youth initiatives, special events, and award ceremonies. She has also written grants and proposals that resulted in monetary awards in excess of $500,000. A photographer and graphic artist, June has photographed and/or designed promotional packages, including the 2000 Urban League of the Carolinas Annual Report which won a United Way Image Award for its design and editing. After her 1993 diagnosis of sarcoidosis, an auto-immune disease, June wrote and released her first book, Color Me Sensitive, which chronicles her journey and acceptance of the challenges and changes in her life. June is currently completing her first book of fiction, and spends her time speaking to groups about living with chronic illness, and understanding the importance of advocating for health and environmental awareness. June has been on the committees of the NC Coalition of Agencies Forget Me Not Campaign (Public Relations), The Charlotte Child Abuse Awareness Month Planning Committee, and The Women’s Final Four Community Relations Committee (Charlotte, NC). Currently, June is employed at a top Fortune 500 company. Raised in New York, June graduated from the City University of New York – Queens College, with a major in English. She is currently single and lives in Atlanta, Georgia. She has two sons, Wesley and Bradley
