About the Book

Portraits in Passion is the inspiring story of twenty-one women who pursued their dreams, emigrating from America to Israel, transforming themselves and the people and society around them in the process. Coming from diverse walks of life, these apparently ordinary women chose to leave the comfort of America to embrace the challenges of living in the Middle East’s only democracy.

Portraits in Passion: Vision and Values of American-Israeli Women allows us to share their journey. More importantly, it invites us to learn from them. Portraits in Passion teaches us that it is not farfetched to dream, to aspire – and to achieve your dreams.
