About the Book
The voice of the narrator switches back and forth from a grown woman reliving her memories, to that of a child in wartime Germany.
The death of a playmate, the slaughter of a pet rabbit for food, and the unfulfilled wish for a peaceful family life playa pivotal role in the Author's development. Equally important are the enduring friendships she forms, and the starkness and beauty of life lived by the North Sea.
About the Author
