Dwelling Place There is a place vacant in which you and I can abide; Where there is room for us to dwell under the shadow of the Most High. There’s no fear of man because in God we put our trust. We recognize Him as our refuge and our mighty fortress. In times of trouble, He’s a very present help. He covers us from danger, and gives us strength. God holds us in the secret of His tabernacle, Not letting what the enemy has planned happen. He’s our habitation, something that No one can even attempt to build. He’s the truth that stands as our armor, Our strong tower, and our shield. What more is there to ask for when God supplies every need? He also promised never to leave us nor forsake us – Now that’s satisfaction guaranteed. We shouldn’t just visit God’s pavilion, We should prepare ourselves to stay. Let us remain in good care; Let us delight in His dwelling place. Your Holy Spirit Your Holy Spirit comforts me Your Holy Spirit allows me Oh, how sweet it is to feel Your presence near -- I thank You for Your Holy Spirit
Like a loving mother embraces her sobbing child.
It hides me and holds me,
And into all knowing and truth, it guides.
To connect with You, oh Lord --
Getting to know Your mind, Your ways,
And to know Your word or the sword.
To love You, to call Your name,
And to whisper a prayer in Your ear.
That comforts my yearning soul;
And for Your unconditional love
That gives me peace like a river that gently flows.

About the Book
This book is dedicated to my Savior (Jesus Christ), my family, and those who have ministered to me and helped me along life’s tedious journey. Each poem entails something different (i.e., praise, worship, peace, love, etc.). However, they all serve the same purpose – to bring honor and glory to God. I pray that Dedications will help each one of you find the hope and encouragement that you need to make it through your situation(s), strength to endure, and faith to go on in Jesus’ name. Know that you are not alone, and that your trials only come to make you strong. Remember that the race is given to the one who endures till the end. I also pray that while reading this book you will find yourself drawing closer to God, and that you may and someone else may come to know the Father like never before (moving from religiosity into an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ). Be blessed in Jesus’ name!!!
About the Author
Chivonne Jacobs has been writing freely and creatively since the very early years of her life. In intermediate school, she was taught how to express herself rhythmically and poetically. Thereon, Chivonne continued to improve upon her writings, and soon after received a second place trophy for a poem that her ninth grade teacher encouraged her to enter into a school poetry contest in 1990 entitled; "Where Does the Sky End?" Since then, her writings have appeared in the Suffolk News-Herald (through her local high school journalism class), and in three issues of the Spectrum (an Old Dominion University newsletter issued by Multicultural Student Services). Also, Ms. Jacobs has had one of her poems published in Peaceful Journeys (a book published/printed by the International Library of Poetry that showcases various poets). Alongside of being a poet, Chivonne Jacobs is an anointed woman of God, a musician, a counselor, worship leader, singer, and songwriter. She is definitely a woman of many gifts and talents. However, she dedicates them all to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ – the One who, she says, made all of this possible.
