About the Book

This inspirational, life-changing book examines the difficult circumstances that invade our lives and adversely affect productivity. At times we feel ourselves at a standstill with another roadblock ahead. We withdraw and suffer emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Intense pain can deprive us of our focus and energy. The causes are numerous. The results are crippling.

Like a defeated team member sitting on a bench, we experience inactivity, ineffectiveness, and power failure. Our strength and enthusiasm are gone. But, as we shift our attention to the power and resources of God's gifts, leave the bench and go back to the game, life again becomes joyful and rewarding.

Through true stories, vivid illustrations and Biblical accounts, the author provides compelling incentives to return to the living that God has intended for us. Candid directions are given to spark motivation and positive action for surmounting obstacles, rejecting defeat and uselessness, and moving forward on the playing field of life.

About the Author

Born in Africa to missionary parents, Frank's early life was a kaleidoscope of cultural diversity and experiences shaped by a strong religious heritage. Upon the family's return to the States to live on a small farm in central Pennsylvania, Frank's father pastored a Mennonite congregation where Frank began a life commitment to serving God. He became active in lay ministry while he pursued a Bachelor of Arts Degree in chemistry and Bible Studies at Eastern Mennonite College in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Frank followed a career in industry as a research chemist, engineering manager and entrepreneur; but always sensing the call to ministry, Frank enrolled in graduate courses in Theology at Bethany Seminary, Richland, Indiana. He became a minister and is currently serving as the pastor of West Shore Church of the Brethren in Enola, Pennsylvania.

Frank writes and presents the radio program Moments With God that airs weekly in the central Pennsylvania area. He is also the founder and president of Jehovah-Jireh Ministries, Ltd., a ministry established to provide assistance to national pastors and evangelists in foreign countries.

After being widowed for four years, Frank recently remarried and lives in Dallastown, Pennsylvania. He has four children, three stepchildren, and six grandchildren.
