About the Book

There are multitudes of books written on self-image that are not necessarily causing the reader to understand the "God-image" that we were created in. Due to a "Father Image" problem, I am in pursuit of uncovering the top layers of falsehood that veil our hearts to the truth in defense of our so great salvation and am passionate about showing people the beauty of who we were created to be in the garden, who we were when we were with God, our real Father, before we came to earth.

As the reader relaxes to enjoy the stories that surrounded the relationship between me and my step-father, he will see the common thread that binds our Heavenly Father to us as his own children. The intermingling of the scriptures shows the spiritual application of those stories . . . a sequence of events that tell the good, the bad, the ugly and the great! It is filled with emotion and sharp realty of what the step-father/child relationship goes through ... and it ends with a purpose . . . our own relationship with our heavenly Father, and the culmination of that relationship becoming a oneness that leads us back to the eternal garden. The reader will see how our own deity within constantly reaches towards the deity of God to take us out of the garbage piles of the world and transform us into flower gardens. This process is a revelation I received when my father actually gave me a project of turning a garbage dump into a flower garden.

About the Author

Yvonne Williams and husband Marion make their home in Prattville, Alabama just north of Montgomery. While growing up as youth on Snead Island on the coast of West Central Florida and experiencing the beauty of the Gulf waters and as a teenager in the rolling hillsides of Central Georgia, Yvonne developed a rhythm for nature allowing the melodies of the water and the solitude of the hills to imprint their power in her soul. She is a Professional Artist specializing in Portraiture and Fine Art Works. One of the highlights of her drawing career is the creation of a solo exhibit entitled "Proponents of Peace" honoring the lives of 7 modern day Workers of Peace. The exhibit was held throughout the south in 1998 and 1999. In Addition to her work as an artist/author, Yvonne has worked with her husband in their professional placement company founded by the Williams' in 1995. Her writing encompasses a love for poetry as well. Yvonne states, "Poetry is much like music: verse and lyrics are birthed out of life experiences which encompass the ragings of the soul and envelope the breath of the spirit ... how then can we be healed except through embracing the hard chore truth that lies within ... this is the power of the song, the healing balm of the poem."
