After the Civil War there were many Soldiers and refugees that had no home to go back to. From these people came the Shysters that descended on the West and pounced the Ranchers and town folks taking everything that they could Con, Steal, Cheat and Murder you people out of. One such Shyster was Rudaford Bean. Cheating and Murdering his way in this small town till he ran into a man he could not get to sell his land. Bean turn against this man and lost his life trying to run him out of the country. This man was Yancey Younger, he kill Bean in revenge for him killing his life long friend and a Bonded Servants son when Bean burned his ranch.

About the Book
When the war ended and the soldiers were free to go home, many of them had no home to go back to, and unfortunately many turned to crime to survive. With little or no law in the West, these misplaced persons became expert shysters and descended upon the ranchers and business men. They made their living by cheating, stealing and fraud and even murder. They made their way West while the pickings were good, until one of them met a reluctant cowboy that brought them to a timely end.
About the Author
Robert Donald Hannon was born in St. Louis Missouri on the 27 October, l930. He lived in the city and on a farm until he was sixteen years old and then he went into the Army and retired from the service in l968. He was always getting in trouble for daydreaming, in school and on the job, and doing so resulted in many of his stories being born. He wrote stories of love, suspense, and adventure that stirred the emotions and memories of his readers. He found that people were hungry for stories that filled their fantasies. He started writing the stories down. This is one of his stories. He has two short novels that are presently being published, The Last War of Clent Evans and Cowboy Ben O’ Shannon. He is divorced and has three children, two girls and a boy. He lives in Petersburg, Virginia now and is retired.
