About the Book

This is truly fifteen years of my life. It was interesting. I lived during a time in our history when it was so cold President Reagan had to be sworn in on the inside of the White House. I detail such events as the Magnolia Homemakers, a little group of elderly ladies, which banned together fifteen years ago. Mrs. Helen Pickle is in a nursing home. She was our neighbor across the street. This book contains different events in my life. Someone told me why open your soul to the world? To quote J.F.K., I said, "Why not."

About the Author

I’m an Irish American. My mother’s parents were of Irish descendents. Grandpa was James White and Grandma’s maiden name was Martha "Betty" O’Haggard. My father’s parents were Earl Vowell and Grandma was Maude Saxon Vowell, Mother Sylvia Joanne White Vowell. I was raised by my father’s oldest sister, Mary Pearl Vowell Walters, and her husband James Carl Walters. My father’s people were half French and half Cherokee. My personal favorite hobbies are sketching Superman and writing in my journal-type novels. At times I help out at Carolyn’s dress shop.
