About the Author
Dorothy Hall- Ramey, born February 28, 1951, hails from a small town in the red -piney hills of northern Louisiana, called Homer. She is the fifth of eight children. She is a divorced mother of three: Christiana, Cne', and Chauncey. She is also the grandmother of three: Keymon, Arrnani, and Mayah. Dorothy is a very warm, spiritual, and caring person, who has always acknowledged God first in her life. She still attends the little Baptist church she grew up in, and serves as adult Sunday school teacher. Though Dorothy is very active in church, she is most recognized for her gift of teaching. Her special interests are reading, writing, gardening, and cooking. For the last fourteen years Dorothy has been employed as a correctional officer, but always finds time to read and write. In August 2001, she graduated from the Institute of Children's Literature. As a result of her studies, she has completed several children's books, which she will soon publish. Dorothy believes that we are all here in this life for a reason. Our mission, should we discover it, should be exercised to the fullest to glorify God.
