The Covenant
The bridge made way for me above the mist
and within me was felt the Great Purring
of many waters that drew me with such strength.
The brilliance of the light before me crystallized
the mist into a thousand tinklings as though
ice were separating into particles to make way for me.
And the Guardian of the gate stood ready for me
half way across the bridge. His eyes were huge
and reflected from within themselves and I knew
it was his purring that filled me and encouraged me
to take heart when I felt faint.
As he towered above me, he extended his huge hand and nimbly took my wisp of a hand and led me across.
There were huge tree manifestations such as I’ve never
witnessed and they stood in herald to my coming.
Not as so much innate matter
but vibrant with consciousness
towering up to endlessness and yet sweeping
their length down so as to connect heaven and earth
with their beingness.
Even as I drew each breath, the creative forces
within the atmosphere paid homage to the Deity
by reinforcing within me the New Creation.
It was as though all consciousness
could no longer be separated from matter and each that
partook of life was deemed to partake of

As one reads the text a gentle, powerful yet playful unfolding occurs revealing the true nature of the Oneness of All That Is, within humanity. It is this universal truth of life that the author wishes to share, so that with the unfolding of many individuals, we may return to the garden.
About the Author
White Song Eagle is an adopted member of the Eagle Clan of Metosine Meshingomisia Band of Miami Indians and is said to walk "with one foot in two worlds." Being a born naturalist and as an author and illustrator, she focuses on spiritual avenues in her writing and illustrations such as expressed in Crone Chronicles, Sage Woman, Eagle Wing Press, Alien Encounters, and many articles and columns for various newspapers on the environment. Her work consists of stories such as "Living With Honor", "Where Water Meets Stone," and "Not All People Are Human". Ms Eagle wrote a chapter and did illustrations for the book The Psychic Sasquatch, By Jack Lapsiritis as well as authored her own story of Sasquatch contact called "Bigfoot is Real".
