7. The Holy Spirit is the Person of the Trinity at work in the earth today. He is the Power of God, the Anointing, the Spirit of faith and truth.
8. Jesus was begotten by God through the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit helped Jesus in His earthly ministry and still will be on the job when Christ puts satan in his place at the end of the Age.
9. God raised Jesus from the dead through the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit will be there when all others are raised from the dead.
10. The Holy Spirit glorifies Christ and speaks to us what He has heard. As the Spirit of truth, He guides us into all truth and shows us things to come.
11. The Holy Spirit is the Inspiration for Scripture.
12. We can fellowship with Him spirit to Spirit. (Tell the Holy Spirit you want a personal relationship with Him.)
13. He convicts us of sin and draws sinners to be saved.
14. The Holy Spirit baptizes us into one body, the body of Christ. He sanctifies and purifies us.
15. When we are saved, we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. He moves in to dwell in our heart. He brings the love of God with Him and sheds it abroad in our heart, enabling us to love others. Our entire past is erased. We are born again spiritually, a new creature, a babe in Christ, just as we were a physical babe when born from our mother’s womb.
16. The Holy Spirit in us is proof we are children of God.
17. The Holy Spirit puts His seal on the saved in Christ.
18. He fights our battles for us.
19. The unsaved cannot know Him because He does not dwell in the unsaved. The saved know Him because He dwells in us.
20. We can resist the Holy Spirit. If we do so willfully, He may withdraw.
21. The Holy Spirit is the Revealer. He reveals to us the things which God has prepared for those who love Him, things freely given to us by God. We can understand/discern spiritual things we could not before we were saved.
22. The Holy Spirit brings Scripture to our remembrance.
23. He gives us hope.
24. He comforts us.
25. He chastises us.
26. He warns us.
27. He strengthens our inner man.
28. He helps us crucify our flesh. If we walk in the Spirit, we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
29. The Holy Spirit knows the details of God’s plan for our individual lives. He will lead us in the way we are to go in the Lord to fulfill His plan.
30. If led by the Holy spirit
- We are children of God and, as such, heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ.
We are not under condemnation of the (Mosaic) law, but under grace.
31. He gives us liberty – freedom from the bondage of sin.
32. When we don’t know how to pray, the Holy Spirit will help us pray and intercede for us according to the will of God.
33. The Holy Spirit gives us a variety of gifts as He will.
- Gifts of: wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, working of miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, tongues, and interpretation of tongues.
34. If we yield to the Holy Spirit, the love He shed abroad in our heart when we were saved will mature and produce fruit for the Lord.
- Fruit produced in our lives by the Holy Spirit: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance.
35. As the Anointing, the Source of miraculous power, the Holy Spirit teaches, prepares and enables us to accomplish the duties of our calling. (Our calling may change with age, a change in life situation, increased spiritual maturity or other factors.)
- Includes school work, secular job, preaching, marriage, parenting, participation in sports, etc.
