It Wasn’t Easy, But It Was Worth It.
It was not an easy road that I travelled on. I was saved from the age of 13 and Jesus is all I know, even though the journey seemed long and through all the tears and sorrows that I had, in every situation God gave me blessed consolation that my trials only came to make me strong. Through it all, I learnt to trust in Jesus and I learnt to trust in God, I also learnt to depend upon His word. Knowing that He didn’t bring me this far to leave me I just can’t turn back or give up now, with so much joy I can rejoice in Him and be exceedingly glad because great is my reward.
I have always been a happy person, because I had a happy childhood. Growing up a few of the old people called me "Sunshine". And Sunshine I was. My smile could light up a room. It is a true saying that when you smile at people they will smile back at you. Many times I’ve gotten the saddest and maddest looking people to smile back at me. I’m always calling up some one from time to time to make their day giving them a word of encouragement, simply by using my cheerful voice.
There was even a time when I worked with some unhappy people for two years but manage to make their day everyday. Whenever another co-worker would come into our office I was the only one to greet them with a smile. It was then I was told that my smile light up the room.
Walking down the street I wore the brightest smile on my face it was the highlight of someone’s day. Persons would often say you have a beautiful smile don’t lose it. And I’d respond by saying "Never".
Even though I was always smiling I experienced some lonely and depressing times in my life but I over came.
Almost everyone experience some sort of loneliness, hurt, disappointment, depression or stressful time. This may even start as early as childhood because somehow your joy was stolen from you. Although you may have suffered in some way for a long time it’s never too late to get your joy back and keep it forever.
As you read this book you will see that the Joy of the LORD is the power of your strength and you can overcome any obstacles in your way once you don’t lose your joy. You will learn that the only cure for your loneliness and your stress is to take a full face of smile all day long, a prayer three or more times a day, with a scripture once or twice a day, one melody of a happy song each morning before getting out of bed and sing it all day long, wash it down with praises and thanksgiving along with all the fruits of the spirit, most importantly make an appointment with your physician (God) to see Him at least once a week in prayer and fasting, and keep it. Speak to Him daily. Spend enough time with Him and share with Him all of your problems, in no time you will be healthy and strong again.
From this day onward may you always be happy.
