About the Book

Shelby Francis loved Gull Haven. The ocean, seagulls, and small town atmosphere were what she needed to heal from Duane’s death. Could she ever forgive herself for the accident? Her son, Allan, was her life now after Duane’s death and the divorce.

She thought she had found love in her life again amongst the beautiful, sunny Florida skies, but it wasn’t meant to be. Just as she thought her life would be happy again with her new love, what brought them together had torn them apart. Maybe in the future they would be drawn back together at Gull Haven.

Now her neighbor held her captive. An obvious psychopath, he had abducted, beat, and molested her, and held her life in his hands. Why me? Why does he hate me so much? There has to be a reason. It had been weeks since he abducted her and brought her to this basement, left chained with little food, and less water. Chained and badly beaten, she was determined to survive, if only the opportunity would present itself to make an escape.

About the Author

Back to Gull Haven is the first mystery romance novel written by Mary Earls Wells. After waiting over twenty years she has written her first novel full of tragedy, romance, mystery, and the tranquility of the beach she loves. She has always had a passion for reading and never thought she’d ever get around to writing a novel.

Mary’s love of the beach is reflected in her writing drawn from her memories of visits at her grandparents’ beach house with her family and numerous cousins. It was a special time in her life, full of fun and adventure. Being one of the youngest cousins, she was usually allowed to tag along to the beach with the older kids. Mary has never gotten the love of the beach and its’ magnificence out of her thoughts. She still finds time to go to the beach to enjoy reading, writing and to simply admire God’s handiwork.

She lives in the country with her husband, Dick, near Cody’s Corner in Flagler County, Florida. They had a romantic beginning when they re-met at their 25th class reunion in Palatka, Florida, and married five months later. Cameryn, their two-year old granddaughter, is their greatest joy in their lives right now. Free time from their jobs is spent hunting, fishing, and enjoying the beauty of nature.

Mary has already started writing another mystery romance novel that she hopes to have finished in the near future.
