Walking on Water Really is a Piece of Cake

As Grandfather and Grandmother have already stated early in his life fears have always played a big part in his own life. He remembered the statement that he heard from Grandfather when he said, "Fear has killed more good ideas and more hopes and dreams and more good intentions than all the wars and car accidents in our world today." Well, when they got the invitation their first feeling they had was excitement and the second was fear. He thought what if he got burned again! As the month rolled on their feelings went from, "there is no way that they were going to even attend the Firewalk" and then they would sift back and forth to they were going to attend. And then they were not going. Morningstar said, "She was going to walk on the fire. And then the night of the Firewalk. Then she wasn’t going to even attend or watch!"

Well, the night of the Firewalk came and they both showed up for the seminar. Just to tell Gifted Healer that he had to be out of mind, if he thought that either one of them were going to walk. He said, "Well, inasmuch as you are here you ought to just come and experience what happens, you might enjoy it." Well, they attended. The main purpose they found out of the Firewalk is to overcome fear. The fear that had been holding them back for all these years from becoming who they truly are intended to becoming. The definition of Fear according to Gifted Healer, was F-alse, E-xpectation, A-ppearing, R-eal. As they looked around the seminar they saw many of their old friends and many more people they did not know.

The Firewalk seminar takes about 4 hours they were told. Three hours or so for the wood to burn down from logs to ashes and the rest of the time for the actual walk. So, all of the participants were told to stack up the wood in a design that looked like a castle, semi-square and each piece of wood was to represent each fears you might have. Such as fear of mice, snakes, people, fear of asking for a raise, fear of rejection, fear of not good enough, fear of failure, fear of asking your spouse personal questions and fear hearing the answers, fear of meeting new people, fear of heights, fear of being alone, fear to go beyond your comfort zone, fear of being burned, fear of the accepting who you are now, fear to become whom your were really meant to become, fear of making a decision and living with the decision you made, fear of becoming a risk-taker, fear of following your positive spiritual guidance, fear to be intimate, fear is fear regardless of its size, shape and color and fear to ask Grandfather and Grandmother for what you want and need and accepting what you receive. Then Gifted Healer had everyone put paper in between the pieces of wood. He poured gas over the stack of wood. And then he struck a match and lit the whole stack of wood and started the whole thing on fire. Then they went back on the area where the seminar was to going to be held. They were then told that the seminar was 100% class participation and everyone had to participate. Since Greyfeather and Morningstar were there they decided to stay and just see what was going to happen, all the time knowing that they were not going to become Fire walkers. After the seminar had gotten started Gifted Healer, paired up everyone with someone they didn’t know! A total stranger! And then one of the pair was to tell the other how fear had played such a big part in their lives. And what they had missed because of it! They had to make the other partner believe it! And say it with sincerity and conviction, not just mouth it. Therein, was the hard part saying it with sincerity and conviction. And then after one had convinced the other then the other had to do the same thing.

Greyfeather found that it was very hard to convince a total stranger how picked on he had been all of his life. How bad he had it and with the death of his Dad and all the poor me’s and why me’s and such things and being raised by Healing Heart his sister, Mom, two grandmothers and grandpa. Having gone through two divorces and attempting suicide twice. Now being in the presence of a total stranger to convince her that he was picked on. And how he had allowed fear to hold him back from becoming who he was and whom he had always wanted to be.

When Grandfather and Grandmother want you to experience life to its fullest They assist you in finding the right person to come into your life. It just so happens that his new partner had experienced the similar thing in her life and she understood what he was saying. And she felt it in her heart and she was his mirror. She was walking very closely to were he had walked and she understood. She said, "Her story of how fear had held her back all of these years! She had been raped by her father, uncle and her grandfather over and over. She felt that she was not good enough and had attempted suicide several times also. And she had decided that there was not a Grandfather or Grandmother that were interested in her, or her pains and sufferings and that she wasn’t good enough only to be raped and used. She said "Yes, I understand what you have been through and thank you for sharing your story with me."

Once everyone had convinced their new partner, they then had to go back around and convince them or tell them how their lives would be different once they had overcome all of their fears. And all of their false expectations of themselves and others. What was interesting was that somewhere between the first go around and the second one Greyfeather had also convinced himself that there was no way that he would not be walking on the fire! And from that point on he regained his enthusiasm about his life and what Grandfather and Grandmother and Jesus had been telling him about his life all of this time.

After about three and one half hours into the seminar and after everyone had convinced themselves and their new partners of the new them. Then Gifted Healer, told everyone at the seminar to go out to where the wood is burning down and pick up a rake and start to spread out the hot ashes. And to make the path they are going to walking on about 12 feet long and about 6 feet wide and about 5 inches thick. Then to making a circle around the very hot ashes and to start singing a chant. And then when all those who are ready to walk, can walk in the hot ashes, which are said to be 3,600 degrees cold.
