About the Author
Mr. Russell is a licensed attorney who has been actively involved in both politics and the theater. He performed in dinner theater before writing the hilarious comedy It Pays To Be A Lady. He also wrote Life’s Little Problems and co-wrote the Thurberish comedy Wishful Thinking. Each of these works has been produced on the commercial stage. In addition to the plays, Mr. Russell co-authored a romantic comedy screenplay entitled I Have This Friend Who Writes. Mr. Russell’s service in his state’s legislature and his participation in politics gave him the background needed to write "Affairs of State." Drawing from those experiences he has presented a story that is both realistic, informing and uniquely entertaining. Mr. Lawrence's newest work Never Accept Candy From Strangers Unless They Let You Ride In Their Car is an often hilarious collection of short stories and observations on a variety of subjects. Some of the material is from real life experiences and some of it is fictional but the entire collection is meant to entertain and leave you laughing.
