Rose was my sister-in-law's mother. She passed away November 19, 1989, on my birthday, and a day before her birthday at the age of 75. She was cremated. Her husband Barney, who also died on my birthday at the age of 75, was buried in the family cemetery in his home state of Tennessee. Rose's final request was to buried next to him.

The family held the ashes until Easter, because my sister-in-law June's brother, Kenny, could not leave his teaching job until he had his Easter vacation. June, and my brother, Art, with their two children drove in their van from Michigan to Tennessee. Kenny and his sister, Jackie, drove down separately.

The following day after arrival, they met with the paternal side of the family at their family plot to hold services. A few minutes into the services, everyone in attendance could hear loud rock-and-roll music. They all became aggravated, full of disgust and annoyed at the rudeness of someone at a time such as this, which was unmannerly behavior in a cemetery. June was most upset, and looked around to see who could be so cruel at a time like this. Here they were mourning in their sorrow, holding services, and someone stupidly put on loud rock-and-roll music.

A young family member approached June, and told her, "The music is coming from that van." She said, "What van!" He pointed at a van. She was stunned, because he pointed at her van. She said, "That is my van, I am here, and the keys to it are in my purse, the van is not running, and the radio in it has not worked for over a year." Under these circumstances anger turned to shock. Fortunately the music immediately stopped, and the minister resumed and finished in an abated breath.

Naturally, the first thing everyone did was to follow June to the van. They found it locked. Unlocking it, June started the van, and tried the radio only to find it unworkable!

Of course, you want a solution. My explanation, once again, is Rose's spirit is trying to tell us in this manner, since apparently spirits cannot talk to us directly. She was thanking June for brining her and Barney together again. Being married for 40 years, they were once more a couple. They were rejoicing, like at a second wedding, and they wanted everybody to know that they were joined and the journey was completed! That they can now rest in peace, and this was their way of telling us.

How was this done?

Easy! A woman won this with the help of her dead father. This is no joke!

This all happened at the Peppermill Hotel-Casino in Reno, Nevada. The first time the woman won was on September 3, 1990. It was a $5.00, 9-spot keno ticket, winning for her the first $250,000. The odds of someone doing this is one to several 100 millions!

Then the unbelievable happened again at the same Peppermill Hotel-Casino on the morning of September 25, 1990, just three weeks later. Lightening struck twice . . . now the Peppermill is the home of the only two $250,000 tickets paid in northern Nevada. And, what was even more unimaginable is that both tickets totaling $500,000 were hit by the same 47-year-old Reno area resident, and home health care center owner.

Skeptics may scoff, but it's hard to argue with two $250,000 jackpots in three weeks, and that it was due to the assistance of her dead father. To transcend such insurmountable odds, one would have to have help from some unearthly source!

The Reno, Nevada lady said, her incredible luck was based on advice from her father who died in 1975. He inspired her to play keno at the Peppermill. She gives him credit for both wins. "It felt like a blessing from heaven. I still can't believe it."

Before the Labor Day win she was very upset, because she was not doing well in her health care business. One night in August, her father stood at the foot of her bed. He came to her in a vision, and was comforting her about the money problems plaguing her.

"Baby" She recalls him telling her, "Stop worrying, everything's going to be OK, don't worry." The message prompted her to review his obituary which contained the winning numbers.

For the second win, which was on September 25, she picked the winning numbers by looking up her father's name, Cornelius, in the game book "Three Wise Men", and used combinations from the numbers that symbolized his name. It was her tactics that beat the odds by a milestone.

She still plays keno at the Peppermill almost every day, because she loves the "class" and style of Peppermill, as well as the friendly people. She still tells everyone, that she's sure her father is always watching over her. "My father is still taking care of me. He is smiling down on his baby. It's happening right now!"

She doesn't expect any more help for it was a wonderful gift. One could not, ungreedingly, expect more!

If you want to beat the impossible, you had better have had a great parent!!!
