He started towards her, and she stepped back. "You are afraid of me Lassie." "Not of you Reece. But the touching thing." She waved her hand in front of her. "I won’t hurt you Chris." "I know...It’s just...Ghost you can see through and their cold...So either your playing some kind of trick on me to get me to leave this place, or you really are a ghost, which in that case means I really am going mad." She crossed her hands over her chest and rubs her arms. Reece laughed aloud at her. "You are not mad Lassie, you can hear and see me because you wished it, and so did I." "So if I say go away, you will?" "Yes." He teased her. "She closed her eyes. "Go away." When she opened them he was still there. "You’re still here." "You said go away with your voice, but not with your heart." Reece said as he moved closer to her. "It must mean you want me to stay." He moved even closer. "You can’t get me out of your mind." Closer yet. "Stop!" Christina managed to finally say holding out her hand. "Don’t come any further. I need time to think." "There’s nothing to think about Lassie." He reached for her arm and pulled her close. "You can’t get rid of me you know." "No." She repeated, her eyes widening at the sound of his voice. "I’ll always be here." "Always?" She repeated, if only to hear her own voice. He lifted an eyebrow and shook his head. "Always." "In that case I think we should have some rules." Reece looked fondly at her as he wrapped his arms around her waist and drew her closer. "Rules? I’m not very good at rules." He kissed the top half of her lip and spoke softly. "Rule number one." He kissed her bottom lip. "Rule number two." He kissed her full lips passionately. She felt herself giving way to his touch. His warm body next to her confused her mind. She wanted him to stop but her brain ceased to control her body. His spirit had penetrated her very soul. She felt they were destined to be together, either in this life or the one beyond. She new there was a reason for her being here. He had willed her here. But why? She had so many question’s to ask him. But his lips on hers kept her from speaking. ‘The party.’ She remembered. It was almost midnight. She had forgotten all about the burning of the mask and Stuart was waiting for her down stairs. She pushed away from his grasp and collected her thoughts. "I have to get back." "Now?" Reece was surprised in her sudden change. He was for sure she wanted him as he did her. "There’ll be wondering what happened to me." Reece held on to her again not wanting her to leave. "Let them wonder." "Really Reece. I have to go." He released his hold on her and eyed her intensely. "I’ll be waiting for your return." A chill went up her spine. "Really Reece I prefer you gone when I get back. It’s been a long and unusual night. I need time to think about all this." She started to leave and turned back to him. "And also. No more sitting in my room at night while I’m sleeping." She said noticing the grin on his face.

Ballard was born and raised in Flint, Michigan, attending Flint Central High
School, where she studied Writing and Business.
Sharron
and her Husband reside in Davison, Michigan with their two sons, ages sixteen
and nine years old.
She
was a bank teller for twenty years and since has semi retired to devote her
time to writing. When not sitting in front of her computer writing romance
novels, Sharron and her husband like to remodel and build. But most of their
free time is dedicated to their boys who are in after-school activities.
She
has been writing since high school and has recently decided to publish her
books and share them with others. “I like to take myself on romantic
adventures. I can travel to different places as well as time periods. And I can
make my characters come to life in my own mind. Really, it is more therapy for
me than work.”
