About the Book

What is the reason God allows some people brief glimpses of life beyond death and the grave and/or the gift of knowledge of certain events before they happen?

In Now I Know Why, I explore these questions regarding my own "near death" experiences. The book is autobiographical in nature, beginning with my earliest memories of extreme poverty and some abuse. It reveals my struggle to survive to adulthood.

My early twenties led me into marriage to a man with multiple personalities and the birth of my first two children. With my strong Catholic background, the eventual divorce was devastating. My life greatly improved with my second marriage.

At age forty-two, my life dropped into a black hole. I developed a deadly form of cancer and should have had no real chance to survive. I found myself in the middle of a "cancer hot zone" where several friends and neighbors were stricken with various deadly cancers. Six of us had the same cancer. As I watched them die while I survived, I finally understood the multiple experiences which comprised my near death experience.

My book should be interesting to the following people: others who have had a near death experiences, victims of poverty, abuse, cancer, and others who have struggled to survive against all odds.
