About the Author

Shirley Doreen Cleveland was born and raised in Iowa. A widow, she now resides in Orlando, Florida where she has lived for the past 33 years. In addition to her writing, she is an accomplished lecturer and speaker, and enjoys working with school children to enhance their abilities as future poets. She is currently working on a second series of books with over 350 poems, which she has already written.

Mrs. Cleveland has been published in numerous anthologies, magazines and journals, and has received many awards and trophies for her outstanding work. Her poetry was selected for publication in the International Library of Poetry’s Anthology: America at the Millennium, The Best Poems and Poets of the 20th Century. Poems from her Specialty Collection are currently being used in many Hospice and Support Group Programs throughout the country.
