"And it’s not like people haven’t already seen the other Playboy centerfold."
"Well, I guess you’ve got a point because they sure caught my eye," Andy said teasingly.
"Oh, hush up, Andy." Tilda was blushing. "And, besides, I just went to the airport and bought tickets for my parents. When they get here, and when I think the time is appropriate, I will sit down and talk with them about this offer."
"Whatever makes you happy, Tilda," Andy said.
"Thanks, Andy, for your support. You are the sweetest guy."
"I know," he said. "And I’m glad I met you."
"Andy, will you take me to the airport when my parents arrive?"
"Sure I will."
"I’m going over to get some more money now, and I’m going back to Ms. Mains to my new room. Then I’ll call my parents and tell them I’m sending their tickets."
"Okay," Andy said. "I’ll come by later if that’s okay."
"Sure it’s okay, Andy," Tilda said. "Bye, see you later."
Now Tilda was in her room. "It’s so nice, clean and quiet," she thought to herself. "I’m going to like it here. I wonder if Ms. Mains is here. I will go see so I can ask if she has an extra room for Mom and Dad to use. Tilda went into the kitchen. "I thought I heard you in here Ms. Main."
"Oh, I'm just preparing some dinner. Would you like to join me, Tilda?"
"No ma’am, but I would like to ask you something."
"What is it Tilda?"
"My parents are coming to visit me, and I was wondering if you had a spare room to rent for at least a week? I will be glad to pay you. I don’t think they would like staying in a hotel for a week, they’re kinda old fashioned."
"I know how they would feel," Ms. Main said. "I don’t think I could stay anywhere else but home myself. Yes, Tilda," Ms. Main said. "I have another room. This old house has five rooms. There’s one more to be rented, but I’ll let you have it for a week so your parents will be comfortable, and I’ll have some company as well."
"Thank you very much, Ms. Main. How much do you want for their week’s stay," Tilda asked.
"Two hundred too much?"
"That sounds great, Ms. Main. They couldn’t stay in a hotel in New York for two hundred a week. I’ll go and get it right now. Tilda went to her room to get the money. "Here you are Ms. Main and thank you again. You are so kind."
"Oh, you’re welcome Tilda."
"Now I’m going to call my parents. I’m so excited."
"Tilda, any long distance phone calls you make you will have to pay for."
"Yes ma’am. I will gladly pay them."
"Hello Mom."
"Hi Tilda, sweetheart, how are you doing?"
"I’m fine Mom. I just called to let you know that I mailed your tickets today and you should probably get them day after tomorrow."
"That’s good honey. Your Dad is not home from work yet. He’s trying to finish up some things before our trip. I’ll let him know when he gets in."
"Mom, here’s my number for you to call me when you all get to the airport. I’ll try and be there when your plane arrives, okay?"
"Okay, honey. Love you, and we’ll see you soon. Bye."
"Today is Wednesday," Tilda said to herself. "That means Mom and Dad will arrive sometime Saturday. The flight attendant said their flight will arrive about 7:15 p.m. There was a knock on the door. It was Ms. Main. She said that Andy was there. Tilda looked at her watch -- 7:00 already. Tilda opened the door. "Hi, Andy! Come on in." Andy stepped into the room.
"You feel like going out for dinner, Tilda?"
"Sure, but let’s make it a quick one, I’m kinda tired. I have to get an early start tomorrow--
"Then will you give Greg and his boss an answer?" Andy asked Tilda.
"Yes, I decided that I’m going to do the nude shots. It will take a while anyway if they decide they’re good enough to publish. That will give me time to talk to my parents. Hopefully, my parents will accept it better this time."
"Let’s hope so," Andy said. "Now let’s go grab a bite to eat."
The next morning when Tilda got to work, Greg was waiting for her. "Good morning, Tilda."
"Morning Greg."
"Have you come to a decision yet?"
"Yes I have Greg. I’ve decided that I’m going to do it."
"Are you sure Tilda? I’m glad you decided to do this, but I only want you to be happy about it."
"Yes, Greg, I’m sure and yes, I’m happy."
"Good," Greg said. "I have to give Mr. Tibbs a call to let him know that you agreed."
