About the Book

The world is full of "whys". When you were a child, you wondered everything. Why is the sky blue? Why does the sun shine? Why is the grass green? Why does it thunder? Why did grandmother die?

As you grew older, your whys changed. Why did I get a C instead of an A? Why doesn’t she like me? Why is my car always breaking? Why does John always make money and I don’t? Why are my relationships always failures? Why are these kids so rude? Why are there so many drugs . . . road rage . . . murders? And finally, why do other people dislike us, our society, and our country?

This book doesn’t pretend to answer why the questions in the first paragraph. However, it does attempt to explain the fundamental basics of the energies that govern our lives, bodies, relationships, and society. This won’t bear much resemblance to your old chemistry or physics classes. Hopefully, it will give you a whole new perspective on who YOU are, how you came to be the way you are, and how you can find healing for your most basic problems. Additionally, you will see how our society – and the world - have developed to where they are today, and what you and your true self can do to help it heal. Good reading!

About the Author

Sally Shepherd is the oldest of five daughters and was raised in Portland, Oregon. She has strong backgrounds both in allopathic and alternative medicine. After graduating from Stephens College in 1967 with a B.A. in Biology, she did a year’s rotating internship in medical technology. She licensed in that field and has worked as an M.T. ever since. Since 1978, she has studied vitamins, herbs, and many different forms of alternative healing. At that time, she also began working with a group of midwives and started attending births. For several years, she had the privilege of working with the longest-practicing midwife in the State of New Mexico. She has raised three children of her own and fostered others, including several hearing-impaired youth. In order to communicate with them, she studied sign language, interpretation, and psychology. For four and a half years, she worked with Native Americans in Indian Health Service hospitals in and around the Navajo Reservation.

Sally Shepherd also has a strong music background, having studied the piano for many years and performed with a number of choral groups. She may be contacted via Salsgal@msn.com.
