About the Book
It is the story of Sophee Tillers, an heiress and descendant of family who escaped to America and how she learned through mistakes how to cope with a legacy left by her father, who committed suicide when his wife Lutricia died shortly after Sophee’s birth. Her father arranged for her to be raised by his deranged sister who ruined her life. Something always provokes her to run, only to return to her legacy only to run again. She looses her first son Hans, to her friend Clare, for the love and security he was unable to find at home. She finds love with Epps, a lonely professor, who wants all of her and what she represents. She resorts to artificial insemination to achieve motherhood. She soon gives in to love and stops running.
About the Author
Carole Hutch is a retired teacher who became a secretary after retirement to utilize excess energy. After total retirement, she decided to create fiction and began writing seriously. She lives in Georgia near beaches of South Carolina and Georgia, which she enjoys, also visits to the nearby mountains. Her six children always keep in touch as well as grandchildren and great grandson. Georgia, with its weather, climate, and friendly residents, nurtures her soul. She served in the WACS during World War II in the Southwest Pacific Theatre of operations and at Fort Dix, where she was a content as Corporal.
