A STAR IS BORN To leave the Angels was not my intention This chairmanship, Connie and I did take, Meetings were held, dates were set, In September the idea was conceived In January, only six months to go, At that time the count was only four At the May meeting, for more members we did plea, After nineteen years, the stars are still shining
When TFE Chairman, Joan, did mention.
Thinking, gee, it's just a piece of cake.
With much discussion when committee met,
Plans were formulated, phone calls made,
Angels worked hard, foundation was laid.
From National, conformation received
October, November Holidays we had a delay,
In December, another star, lead the way.
Schedules were set, we just had to grow,
In February for the Get Acquainted Event,
Angels worked fast, many letters were sent.
To meet our quota we had to have more,
The Easter Season came and went
More members were added with their consent.
Esther, Doris, Billie, Pat, Starr & Michele did see
We would never see the Star alive
Unless our quota was met of twenty-five.
Cause we are here, with them, dining.

About the Book
This book is a compilation of poems written and kept over a period of fifty years. They were written about events and experiences and the emotions that were felt at that time. Most people have experienced these emotions and reading this poetry will bring back memories to be cherished. About the Author
Edythe Ve Del submitted a poem, which was written in 1943, to the National Library of Poetry in 1997 and won the Editor’s Choice Award. The poem, Could Be, was published in the anthology, Essence of a Dream. In May 1999, she sold an article to Fate Magazine entitled "The Cover Up Ghosts." In May 2000, she was nominated as Poet of the Year by The International Library of Poetry for her outstanding achievement in poetry, and became a distinguished Member of the International Society of Poets. May 2001 won Editor’s Choice Award by the International Library of Poetry for her poem, Easter Morn that will be featured in a three-album CD, Sound of Poetry. She was one of thirty-three poets chosen for the honor. She has had several poems on the Internet. Edythe reflects her innermost thoughts in her poetry and feels she has a wonderful gift, which should be shared and enjoyed.
